I have the travel bug. I’m itching to get out of this miserable cold weather and onto a beach. Actually, I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t a beach, just something that wasn’t here. Flights to Denver right now are pretty cheap, and I’ve never been to Breckenridge. Those are two snowy options I would consider.
Or maybe a road trip. Or a private island. Did you know you can rent a private island on AirBnB? I found that out today. It sounds like a dream vacation since no one can bother you. I found a private island for $500 a night in Fiji that is secluded and might possibly be setting you up to be in a horror film. But how awesome would it be to stay on your own private island for a week without a single worry? I didn’t check to find out if I’d have 4G or cell service…which of course is important so that I could Instagram the amazing time I’d be having for everyone back home to marvel at.
I think even a cabin in Brown County would be sufficient right now. But it has to have a hot tub. Do rentals properly clean out their hot tubs? I don’t want to take a nice warm dip into a pool of stale sex and semen. Does the health department regulate rental units? Because they should. This might sound crazy, but I did get pink eye while staying in a nice hotel in Chicago a couple months ago. You can never be too careful.
If I had my way, I’d be heading to Hawaii right now. I’d love to check out another island, such as Kauai. The Big Island was amazing, and I’d love to go back, but I feel like I should be adventurous and venture out to new places. It’s like when you go to a restaurant and you always order the same exact thing. It’s hard to stray when you find something you know you love, your tried and true gem. But what’s the fun in that? So far, we’ve been pretty lucky with our vacation choices.
I’d love to travel to the Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Bora Bora (yes, I can dream), Maldives, Turks & Caicos and more. I’m going to need to book a couple more photobooths in order to make these dreams a reality…c’mon people, hire Spinshot!
