Today’s Think Kit prompt: “If money, time or other commitments were no obstacle in 2013, what would you do?”

I’ve had an ongoing love affair with photography throughout my whole life. Ever since my first photography class in high school (shout out to Mr. Daly at Carmel High School!), I knew that photography was going to be a big part of my life.

I photographed my first music festival in 2009 at Red Rocks in Colorado. Monolith was one of the most fun weekends of my life, seeing bands such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix, Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Chromeo and so many more. That weekend hooked me. I realized how much I loved capturing those moments during a show that you want to remember forever, like when Karen O took a huge drink of water and spit it out into the audience. I caught that on film. Or when Alice Glass jumped into the audience at Lollapalooza. I caught that too.

Of course, we can’t forget about my girl Alexis from Sleigh Bells, one of my favorite people to photograph (and listen to). I swear I’m not a stalker, I just have a mild (MAJOR) girl crush on her. If you’re reading this Alexis, wanna be besties?! We can comb each other’s hair after your shows!

ANYWAYS.

If time and money were no object, I’d travel the world and photograph music festivals. I love music and I love photography. My only regret in life is that I don’t get to go to more festivals. It doesn’t matter what kind of music is playing, I can appreciate most music. I simply love capturing those moments to keep forever.
